Volunteer Opportunities

Disaster Services

Disaster Action Team (DAT) Members
- Needed to respond to local fires in the following counties: Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton and Southern Essex.
Training Required: Introduction to Disaster and the Chapter DAT workshop.

Project Share/Care & Share Case Workers
- Needed to process Project Share and Care & Share clients in Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties. Work out of the Glens Falls and/or Ballston Spa office.
Desired skills: ability to fill out forms, good verbal and written skills, background in social work or human services a plus. Must like working with a diverse group of people.

Follow Up Case Workers
- Needed to contact local disaster victims 24-48 hours after initial response in Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties.
Training Required: Introduction to Disaster and the Chapter DAT workshop.

Administrative Assistants
Needed for easy filing, keeping inventory of disaster publication, and doing basic (EASY!) computer work. 

Health and Safety Services

Instructors
- Teaching CPR/First Aid Courses to the community or businesses

Community Services
- Speaking to the community on Disaster, Health & Safety and volunteer opportunities
- Maintaining Information booths
- Coordinating First Aid Stations
- Assisting at Blood Pressure Clinics

- Receptionist
- Bulk Mailing
- Data Entry
- Filing
